Good morning fellas!!Whats up? I took a break yesterday, I was trying to chase a campaigns yesterday but i cant maybe im too slow lol! I said my self...Ahhhhh forget it, i think its time for a break. I was thinking to go to the mall and hang by myself. I was ready and everything but my mind changed lol i said to myself ill stay home and wathc tv. Ima real woman lol they said a woman is not consistent with their decisions and always has changeable mind. So today, trying to update my friends what im up to, honestly its time to work again to today....

Chicken Fried Chicken

Chicken Time!! My hubby loves to eat fried chicken. So i got a new recipe for you!


INGREDIENTS
30 saltine crackers
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons dry potato flakes
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

DIRECTIONS
Place crackers in a large resealable plastic bag; seal bag and crush crackers until they are coarse crumbs. Add flour, potato flakes, seasoned salt, and pepper to bag and mix well.
Beat egg in a shallow dish or bowl; heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
One by one, dredge chicken pieces in egg beat, then place in bag with crumb mixture, seal bag and shake to coat.
Reduce heat to medium and cook coated chicken in skillet for 15 to 20 minutes, turning frequently, until golden brown and juices run clear.

Cooking Time

Im on my 2 days off starting today. Since im bored and nothing to do here at home, its my time to cook for my hubby. Something different. I want simple chicken recipe. As I was browsing online i found this recipe of Crispy Spiced Fried Chicken. Since hubby loves chicken and the only meat we have on the fridge is chicken so i guess ill do this recipe later.

Now guys if you want to try this recipe, Im sharing it with to try if you want.


4 pounds chicken wings, legs and thighs, trimmed of excess fat
2 cups buttermilk or plain nonfat yogurt
2 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
8 teaspoons ground chipotle powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Peanut oil, for frying

Cooking Directions:

Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Cut the wings in half and discard the wing tips. In a bowl, mix the buttermilk with 1 tablespoon of the kosher salt and 2 teaspoons of the chipotle powder. Add the chicken, turn to coat and let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.
In a resealable plastic bag, mix the flour with the remaining 2 tablespoons of chipotle powder, the cayenne and the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of kosher salt. Seal the bag and shake to blend.
In a large, heavy skillet, heat 3/4 inch of peanut oil to 360 degrees F. Working in 2 batches, shake the buttermilk off the chicken, put the chicken in the bag with the flour mixture and shake to coat well. Add the chicken to the hot oil and fry over moderate heat, turning once or twice, until golden and crisp, about 20 minutes; lower the heat if necessary so the chicken doesn't brown too quickly. Drain the chicken on a rack lined with paper towels and serve immediately.

Yield: 4 servings

My husband's favorite Pinoy Song

Do you remember Panday? It was shown in ABS-CBN before. My hubby has lots of Filipino friends and he used to hang out wiht them when he was alone here. Now, he had the chance to watch Panday and he like the song of Sugar Free "Makita kag Muli". Now he researched the song and get the lyrics and everything. I was amazed that one day when we got together last year in Davao he sung the whole song for me. Oh im so proud of my hubby. Anyway you can play the music video of Sugar free.

Wanted: Someone to kill my boyfriend's wife

In the news today, its so funny to think that a woman posted an ad on a popular site here in US called craigslist.org. She posted to hire a hitman to kill his boyfriend's wife. There were 3 person responded on her posted ad.

She got arrested frm posting that ad to hire a hitman. It just funny because me and hubby always look for a car in craigslist. I didnt know the lady had posted an ad about that. Now, she was caught!

I got a real compliment

I always do my job right and fast as I can. Last night i got a compliment from white American guy. He said to his family "Thi is the fastest Ive ever been". I was very feel
flatered because its a good compliement. 

Those compliments like that makes you feel good when you your tired. It boost your energy and inspire me more to do my job always right. I dont wonder why at work there's a lot of Filipinos because they can tell we are hard working people. And im so proud of that.

Pacquiao VS Marquez on March

I was surprized that a customer a Mexican guy ask me last night from work, if me and my husband will watch the fight of Pacquiao. I told him i dont know if Manny Pacquiao has an incoming fight. I asked when and who will be his match. He told me it will on March and he forgot the other buy but still a mexican boxer. He told me too that he likes Pacquiao than his Mexican brother. Cause he said Manny is amazing and very strong.

As to my curiosity and as to my interest in Boxing i researched about it and i found out that Manny's match will be Juan Manuel Marquez. The fight will be in Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The big fight will be this coming March 15, 2008.

I hope i can save enough money so me and my husband can watch the fight in Vegas. How i really wish. I am really fan of Pacquiao when he has a fight. If you want more info about the fight, you can read here.

Last night hubby told me another young actor died named Heath Ledger an Australian actor. I asked him what happened. Hubby said its because of 6 prescription found in his room. I was thinking he was over dose. Due to my curiosity who he was, i look up in the yahoo news. I found out Heath ledger was the one from the Movie Brokeback Mountain.

Though i didnt watch that movie, it was popular movie cause it has a big issue about gays.

Biography

Update for my purse

I went to work yesterday like 430pm US time. As soon as i get to work i went to my locker right away to check my purse and its good its open already and its good nothing is missing from my purse.

Oh well, i told myself i dont want to use their locker anymore!!!

Work-related stress can kill you!

Good morning guys, Im browsing again today on my daily news from yahoo, i read about that too much stress from working can kill you. According to the study, Work really can kill you, according to a study on Wednesday providing the strongest evidence yet of how on-the-job stress raises the risk of heart disease by disrupting the body's internal systems.

So guys dont be to hard from yourself ok? Take time to rest and unwind sometimes. We have only one life and it should suppose to be enjoy it. One thing i can really advice is, when your working be sure your happy with your work and you love to do your job so you wont feel the stress.

Happy that I was able to talk to my family again

Im home alone and bored, i sms my sister early in the morning in Davao Today, cause i feel so lonely and no one to talk to. Its good she responded me immediately and open the computer at home. I talked to her for awhile and then she had to leave early for work. Then i talked to my mom and my nephew, and niece, its great i was able to talk to one of our neighbor just right beside the house.

It feels good to see your own room and used to sleep before coming here in LA. Well im just saying that im so happy to see the house and feels like your home again.

Im pissed and worried today at work!

Hi guys whats up with you fellas. I just want to share my experienced today at work, i was happy that we got out own locker at work so we dont have to keep leaving our stuff at the operator and bug them again to get it back when you want something from your purse. But after like 5 days i got troubled with my locker it wont open with my password i set. I had to ask the supervisor to open it for me cause they have electronic device to unlock it. but after like 3 days again and that was today i got troubled again, I found out if somebody tried to open it with other password it will mess up your locker and wont open the password anymore you set to your locker. I had to call the supervisor again 2nd time to open it for me, he tried it but he cant open it with his electronic device, he told me to wait 24hrs. I was so pissed and worried cause my green card and atm is in there im so worried its good that my phone was with me, if was not then i cant call my hubby to pick me up at work. Oh well, ive learned my lesson and I dont want to use their locker anymore!!ill bring my GC and ATM with me!!

A Filipino guy join audition in American Idol 08?

I just want to share this video about the guy who join the audition in American Idol 08 in Texas. Almost everybody thinks he's a Filipino but some said he is not but he's Asian.

But my husband and even I can tell he is a Filipino. It was really funny audition. He had his costume on and a self-made song or a compose song of his own called I am your brother. I can say what a brave man to face the whole world hehehehe. Watch the clip here.

Busy day...

I just got home from picking up my pay check at T Mall then had to go to the bank to cash out my paycheck to send it to my family. Oh God...i was really busy today since i had to take the bus and walked from home to bus stop.

When i went to PNB I was kinda happy that dollar is 40.15. I thought it went down to 39 pesos. After i send the money i went to Seafood City, a Filipino store, to look for Cocoa as in Tabliya in Visaya. My friend Jackie Lou from Wisconsin asked me if i can buy her cocoa for her puto recipe. I found it but it is kinda expensive. So i decided to go home and wait for hubby to go to other Filipino store i used to go its kinda cheaper in there. Whew!!busy busy busy life...

Ill be back guys..i still have lots of things to post today.

Black voters see new generation gap

When civil rights elders signed on to support Hillary Rodham Clinton's run for president, it was seen as a coup in the competition for the black vote, especially in the Deep South.
Yet many younger black voters seem to be shrugging off the sway of leaders such as Rep. John Lewis and former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, siding instead with Barack Obama's history-making bid to be the nation's first black president.

It's a generational struggle that should serve as a warning to Democrats as they head into primary contests in states with large black populations: The black vote today is anything but monolithic.

It also suggests the influence the civil rights leaders have enjoyed as political kingmakers is waning.

Lohan to work in morgue as punishment

Lindsay Lohan is about to see dead people. The 21-year-old actress will soon be working at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving, her attorney, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday.

She has also spent two months in rehabilitation and has done some community service, Berk said at a hearing on her progress toward fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain.

Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.

Lohan was arrested twice last year on DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. She has already served 84 minutes in jail as part of the plea deal.

In 2005, he moved to a chess-mad nation and site of his greatest triumph.As a champion, he used his eccentricities to unsettle opponents, but Fischer's reputation as a genius of chess was soon eclipsed, in the eyes of many, by his idiosyncrasies.<>

Pay day again!!

Hi guys good morning! Im up now and its only 3:31 in the morning. Hubby had to go to work so early at 3am so had to wake up too. Anyway, im excited today cause ill get my paycheck again!! but honestly, my whole check will going to my family in Davao. I promised my bro to send money so they can start a new small variety store and so they can have a source of income. I told them that they should make the store progress cause this will be my last money ill send for them. And, so for the incoming paycheck will be my savings for my future.

Im just hoping that dollar is o 40.00 pesos so atleast i can still give them a decent value of my paycheck. The last two weeks i send money dollar was 40.50. I hate to know when dollar is keep going down. Oh well, ill just cross my fingers now until ill go to Philippine National Bank to send the money.

US downgrades Philippine air safety

When I flew from Philippines to United States i used Philippine Airlines. I chose it because its only a 1 flight and direct to Los Angeles, CA. One thing too is its cheaper than other air carrier. It was fun and it was okay. I came here in LA safe and sound. But in the news today, The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has downgraded Philippine airline operations and put them under heightened scrutiny because of their inadequate safety standards, the U.S. Embassy said Tuesday.

The decision gives the Philippines a Category 2 rating along with countries such as Bangladesh, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Indonesia. It means Philippine carriers can continue flying to the U.S. but only "under heightened FAA surveillance," the embassy said in a statement.

The embassy also advised Americans flying to and from the Philippines to use carriers from countries whose civil aviation authorities meet international standards.

Now, since Phil Air has inadequate safety standard right now im sure some of Americans wont take it anymore. And hope the time we will come back home Phil Air will be okay and meet the safety standard so we can choose Phil Air again.

Twins separated at birth met and married

In the news today, I was shocked about the story of two person got married and found out they're twins!

A couple discovered after they had married that they were twins who had been split up at birth and adopted by separate families, according to a member of Britain's House of Lords.

British peer David Alton recounted the story to parliament last month to support his argument that artificially conceived children should be told who their biological parents are.

Alton said he had heard the story of the separated twins from a High Court judge who had dealt with the case.

"This did not involve in vitro fertilization: It involved the normal birth of twins who were separated at birth and adopted by separate parents," said Alton, an independent member of the Lords. "They were never told that they were twins."

"They met later in life and felt an inevitable attraction, and the judge had to deal with the consequences of the marriage that they entered into and all the issues of their separation," he said.

This is really a sad story. How can you deal this kind of situation when you know that your love of your life is a your twin brother or sister. Wow...

In fact when i watched it I met the ladies at the CFO for Seminar and I talked to Ms. Angela for one on one counseling.

They said that when you get here in USA or when you married to a foreigner your life will be better and always happy. They're wrong, not all Filipina live happily. I am happy yes with my life now but ofcourse I have to work hard to help my husband to pay the bills and send money back home to help my family. But i have one friend here in LA stowed away from her husband in Texas cause she and her husband dont really understand each other. Oh well. Just watch the show.

US unveils new driver's license rules

US implemented new rules for driver's license. I know driving has been a privelege to all people who lives here in United States. According to the news, Americans born after Dec. 1, 1964, will have to get more secure driver's licenses in the next six years under ambitious post-9/11 security rules to be unveiled Friday by federal officials.

The Homeland Security Department has spent years crafting the final regulations for the REAL ID Act, a law designed to make it harder for terrorists, illegal immigrants and con artists to get government-issued identification. The effort once envisioned to take effect in 2008 has been pushed back in the hopes of winning over skeptical state officials.

So guys, you have no choice follow the new rules set by the Law of US.

A first! Snow falls in Baghdad

Baghdad is the capital of Iraq. Baghdad has been a center of violent conflict since 2003 because of the ongoing Iraq War. We know that in that place its hot. But today in the news friday morning a snow falls in Baghdad. Everyone was amazed and so happy cause for the first time in memory, snow fell across Baghdad.

Thats really a miracle. Cause its my first time to hear about snowing in the place around Middle East.

They said that at the late afternoon there were no reports of violence. Thats pretty funny maybe those bad guys was amazed while watching the snow falls.

33 yrs. mystery money

In Japan, there's a person keep giving money at the police station since 1974. At first it was 1000 yen valued as 9 bucks. When they received the envelope with the money it has a note of "Please use this for the unprivileged people." The person keep sending money for more than 33 yrs. now and take note it is monthly. On Wednesday, they received the 400th envelope again with 1,744,000 yen. the police said, adding that the money had been given to the town's social welfare council.

"I just take my hat off for the act of continuing sending donations over three decades without expecting rewards," said station chief Taisuke Kimura.

"We will continue working for the safety of this town in return for this goodwill act," he said.

Im sure, whoever the person is that she/he will blessed. She/he has a good heart. Helping other people without any recognition or any return.

Boy Bawang On the way to Lira

Lira is craving for corn!

Finally last January 6, 2007 Lira my friend sms me!! I tried to call and sms her long time ago but shes not answering her phone. She told me that she almost admitted in the hospital because of dehydration cause she kept vomiting. But now shes doing fine though she always stay in bed because of her pregnancy. Now, shes almost 4 months pregnant. She told me shes craving for boy bawang. She cant find it there at Asian store on their place so she asked me if i can buy it here for her. And then after work, me and hubby went to Filipino store to buy it. So Lir your boy bawang is on the way now!!Happy?Take care there ok??

I feel so relieve!!!

For the past few days i was so worried because i dot have my period yet. I had my last period last December 6, 2007. Mostly i have advance of 3 days for each month. But until now i still dont have my period. I told my hubby that I think Im pregnant!! I researched about symptoms of pregnancy. It said that i should have breast sore, extremely feeling tired, sleeping a lot. But i dont have those signs yet. I was really worried cause im not ready yet. I still have lots of things to do. I still want to continue to work and save more money. But finally, just this evening, hubby bought a pregnancy test. And Im NEGATIVE!!!! Im so happy and hubby too!! Im so relieve!!!

Peso is drowning!

I just remember that last friday I went to PNB Eaglerock Plaza in LA to send some money for my family. I was really shocked when i saw the exchange rate. Before it was 40.80 pesos for a dollar but recently it was 40.30 pesos now!!I said to myself wow!!What happened to our money??A lot of Filipinos working abroad and they're been sending a lot of remittances. What's going on to our country?I was thinking since peso is start drowning the stuff from Philippines should be cheap now. But my sister said that its more getting high. This is ridiculous! How is that happened? I hope our president will make some move cause she let the people keep drowning too.

12 yr old boy killed his toddler cousin

Can you imagine a 12 yr old boy killed his cousin by beating her a baseball bat? It happened when the boy watching a cartoon show and the toddler starts crying. He felt interrupted from watching tv and then start beating the toddler fatally. What would you feel guys when this is your daughter?Ofcourse even if it is your nephew you would feel horrified and terrified. A poor 17 month old died just because of she interrupted her cousin from watching tv.

Its my first time to read or hear this kind of case. Only here in United States. Kids now is thinking differently and it is very violently thoughts. I hope parents can guide their kids to a good upbringing. I hope this will be my last to read this kind of case. This is awful!

Odd news

In the news today, this guy in the picture Christopher Lee McCuin, 25 live in Texas has been charge of murder. He killed his 21 yr. old girlfriend and tried to cook and eat her body. The police said on sunday he called 911 to report the killing.

This guy is on crack!!I cant imagine why some people can do this to their love ones. This is the result of taking abuse drugs. So guys keep away from drugs!!

Its my Pay Day!

I went to work so early today at 8am. When i got to work I had an envelope posted in the window Office. I didnt get it yet cause I had to work first. When i got the chance to get it on my break I was so happy that its my pay check and my T Mall Member Card. Im so happy cause last week the supervisor asked me if i want to stay in T Mall after Holidays. Ofcourse I said Yes!I asked my co-cashier what does it mean. She said Ill be staying in T Mall as long as I want. I was so happy cause Ill be earning while still looking for a full time job. I work in T mall everyday but they can only give the employees a maximum of 30hrs per week. But still Im lucky cause I saw my other batch hired for holidays is not working anymore. Oh well, Im just so happy that I dont have to worry and be rushed to get a full time job.

Must-See Meteor Shower Friday Morning

I have been fun of watching meteor shower. When im reading the news today at yahoo they said there will be a meteor shower again tomorrow Friday morning January 4, 2008.

The meteor shower is called Quadrantid Meteor Shower. They said its very unpredictable meteor shower but yet it will be the best meteor shower indeed. Viewable in Western Europe and eastern North America only.

Ill try to wake up early so I can witness another meteor shower again.

Shot at Love Part II?

Whats wrong with Tila?Me and hubby keep watching Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. We both like the show cause we thought its a reality dating show. The show was good. Infact, its a number 1 rated show of MTV for the past 2 yrs. But as I was reading entertainment section from yahoo news, I was shocked when I read that they will take another shot of love. They said that Tila and Bobby Banhart broke up!

"The 25-year-old male film student selected last month by Tequila on her popular MTV reality dating show is no longer — or maybe never was — dating the 26-year-old bisexual Internet celebrity.

During MTV's live New Year's Eve programming, Tequila said that Banhart had broken up with her because of her hectic work schedule. "He couldn't handle it," she said. "He broke up with me."

However, Banhart said in a Dec. 30 message posted on MySpace that "she never called me after the last show and no one would give me her number."

I said to myself are you serious?????????????So As I was thinking...hmmmmmm this must be a fake!!How come they broke up simply like that?For a couple of days they already broke up?So me and hubby discussed about it cause we've been following the show before. He said, that its not a reality dating show anymore its simply a business,show business!!

Oh well, thats how they make money on TV. But, I dont think we will still watch the show it feels like we've been fooled.

Nonfat milk linked to prostate cancer

As i read yahoo news today, i read the write up about nonfat milk. They said that the ingredients or the vitamins contains from the nonfat milk or low-fat milk may increase of the malignancy.

Dietary calcium and dairy products have been thought to increase the risk of prostate cancer by affecting vitamin D metabolism. Data from several prospective studies have supported an association, but many other studies have failed to establish a link.

Im a little bit worried cause me and hubby been using this nonfat milk ever since. Ofcourse, I dont want to risk our lives for this. But as i read further about this article that professional doctors' findings do not provide strong support for the hypothesis that calcium and dairy foods increase the risk of prostate cancer.

I feel relieve that nonfat milk is safe.

Another Buca Angel!!

Yesterday in New Year's Day I had to work. When I got home I felt tired as always but when I read my brother's sms he said my sister-in-law delivered her new baby! I was very happy that I got a new nephew again! Another blessing for us!!Though I was very tired yesterday I was very excited to see the picture of the baby. My sister described him as same with my niece's look, very thick hair and browned skin and chinky eyes just like his older bro and sis. Though I cant really see his face in the pic I still feel that he got my brother's look. And they named the baby as James Christopher! Named after my husband's 2nd name. Great!
