Calgary is one of the place that I really want to go for a long vacation. Im s glad that I have 1 month to spend from working too long in my job and I really want to go to Calgary because at the first place one of my best friend lives there. She told me there's a lot of stuff to do in Calgary. Since me and my family will go there I have to look for a place to stay.

What a sad Christmas for Cagayanos..

A friend of mine told me about what happened in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. They had a strong rain storm that led to a huge flood that cause a lot of damages and 250 people dead as the news says. I just then remember my relatives who lives there a sister of my father with her children and grandchildren. I have been contacting my family in Davao City 6 hrs drive to Cagayan but I haven't heard anything yet since my smart roaming phone has not found because my daughter was playing with it.

My heart really breaks seeing those scenes that people are dead, kids and wives missing until now. I am hoping my aunt and her children and grandchildren are doing fine. I might dont have much right now but I am willing to send money to help. I cried when I saw this picture of a father carrying his dead daughter. I feel the pain in his heart. I hope those fortunate people out there will help our kababayans.

I am praying that in Christmas atleast some people will have a place to stay, food to eat and find comforts. I feel sorry for those who lose their family. I hope they will find peace in their hearts.

Very windy evening

I went to work with very cool weather yesterday. But when hubby picked me up it was so windy and last night I feel like all the branches of the trees will fall. We had power off couple times it just showed that the wind was so strong.

It is my very first time to encounter this since I got here in LA. It is scary though cause I can feel the wind even inside the house.

Last Saturday me and my family went to the park with friends and their kids. Im so glad they invited us to come over at the park so the kids can play and ride the train and most especially the pony. My 20 months old daughter finally had her first pony ride and we really had fun watching her. She was not afraid to ride the pony the fact its her first one. She had 3 rounds, supposedly they give only 2 rounds but the guy let her go and had another round and my baby dont want to get down anymore cause she loves riding the pony.(LOL).

Trip to Blue Mountains

Today was a very great day for me and my family. We went to Griffith Park together with my friend and her family and the kids had Pony Ride. We really had fun watching them riding the small horses. My daughter is only 20 months and she didnt cry and in fact it was her first time to rode one. I guess we have to start bringing her in to places like zoo or mountains so she can see the animals.

I actually told my husband if we can have a Trip to Blue Mountains. When I was still single, me and my friends used to go climbing in big mountains. It's been almost 2 weeks now when I had my Naturalization interview. The lady told me I'll wait for my Oath Taking within 2 weeks to 3months. I was wondering when it's gonna be because I am anxious to start my mom's application to get come here. I have a lot of plans when she gets here, In fact I was browsing for a job and I wanted to apply but due to this baby situation I cant. Right now I have to stay in my part time job so hubby can work full time and so I can watch the baby.

Passed my US Citizenship Test!!

Im so happy today that finally my immigration stuff is over. I am finally certified citizen of America. Today I had my interview this morning and it took me less than 5 minutes for all the test. I got all the questions correct and that's it. Now I am waiting for my Oath Taking ceremony schedule and right by then I will apply for my American Passport.

November 7th

November 7th has been a lot significance to me right now. In fact, I got hired in Target Store November 7th of 2007. Now, on November 7th which is next month is my US Citizenship Interview date. Today, I got the Letter of Notice from USCIS that I have the interview date, time and place. It's weird but my lucky number is 7. I'm so glad that my interview date didnt fall to the date of our trip in Maryland or else I have to call USCIS and move the date for few days or weeks.

Anyway, October 1st today and Im still excited to go home in Philippines. It's closer and closer to February!

Somebody just reminded me today is 100 days to Christmas. I am actually excited cause finally i can put up my Christmas tree that i bought last year for clearance lol. After a month of keep checking the USCIS website, and after all those days being frustrated checking the website, last night when I checked it, it says they sent the notice for the schedule of my interview. Im getting anxious about this Citizenship interview. Every now and then I keep checking the USCIS website about my case. It's been a month now when I had my finger printing. I just want to make this immigration stuff be finish before I go home in Philippines and so I cant start my mom's petition.

Me and the baby will go home in 5 months. I already have a fix date to travel next year and it's gonna be February 13, 2011 till March 4th. 5.8 Earthquake scares East Coasters

I was browsing in my Facebook today and a post of a friend has catch my attention when she said something about the earthquake in Maryland. I wasn't really concerned about it till I read the whole news and the 5.8 magnitude Earthquake started in Virginia. My cousin Mennen lives there and I am chatting with her right now and told me about what happened at her job. And thank God shes OK and their house.

When my husband woke up he called up his family back home in Maryland. We're thankful that everybody is fine and nothing serious happen. And I'm so glad East Coasters are doing fine in spite of the rare big quake.

Well, I guess we have to pray every now and then cause we never know what's gonna happen in the future. Only God knows.

New Philippine Passport in hand

Im so happy that in just 4 weeks after I renew my Philippine Passport I got it already. I thought it will take 10 weeks to get the passport but when my co-worker told me that his friend works at the embassy got our passport I was surprised and happy.

Well, Im so ready to go home now caue I have everything but I cant leave the baby behind(LOL). Next step baby's passport.

I love taking pictures of anything that is interesting. Honestly, I am thinking to buy a new camera, the DSLR camera. For now I am using my cellphone Samsung Vibrant when I take picture of my baby. I think it's my hobby now taking pictures especially taking pictures of her.

Today, is my day off and we really didn't do anything at all. Just went to 99c store and do laundry that's all. I found nice head band for the baby and she really looks nice on it. I should return to 99c store to buy more colors(LOL). And as usual cant get enough with picture taking so my model is posting today for her new head band.

The Trade Show Flooring

I have been a fan collecting stuff that is custom made like T-shirts and towels. For some reason it has been my hobby to collect stuff like that, anything that is my name on it. Recently I have collected pens and pencils with my name engraved. It made me feel happy when I get my stuff customized with my name on it.

Anyway, I am thinking to get my floor customize too. Since I have a baby I always clean and vacuum the carpet all the time. I'm so thankful I found this trade show flooring.
